How to import a Valorant crosshair code

Last updated:

A Valorant crosshair code is a short line of text that holds every setting of a crosshair profile. Importing one takes under a minute and gives you exactly the crosshair its owner uses: the color, the outlines, the center dot and the inner and outer lines. This guide shows the steps and what to check when something does not work.

Import a crosshair code in five steps

  1. Copy the code. Open any crosshair on this site (for example from the list of pro players) and press Copy code. You can also build your own in the crosshair generator and copy it there.
  2. Open the settings. In Valorant open the settings menu and choose Settings.
  3. Go to the Crosshair tab. It sits in the row of tabs at the top of the settings window.
  4. Press Import Profile Code. The button is near the top of the Crosshair tab, next to the profile selector.
  5. Paste and confirm. Paste the code into the box, confirm, and the crosshair appears as a new profile. If it is not the active one yet, pick it in the profile selector.

That is all. There is nothing to download and no restart needed.

What a crosshair code looks like

A code is a list of settings separated by semicolons, for example:

0;P;c;5;h;0;0t;1;0l;4;0o;2;0a;1;0f;0;1b;0

The P starts the settings of the primary crosshair (A is the aim-down-sights crosshair, S the sniper one), and each letter or letter pair is a setting followed by its value. For instance c;5 is the color (5 is cyan) and 0l;4 is the length of the inner lines. You never need to read them: the game does it for you, and the settings guide explains what each option does. Paste a code into the generator to see every value laid out as sliders and switches.

If the import does not work

  • Copy it again. A code that was cut off or has extra characters at either end is the most common cause. Use the copy button instead of selecting the text by hand.
  • Paste it as it is. Do not add spaces, quotation marks or a final semicolon of your own, and do not retype it.
  • Check it in the generator. Paste the code into the generator's import box. If the generator accepts it and shows a preview, the code itself is fine.
  • Compare with the preview. The crosshair in the game and the preview here match in color, size, gap and outlines. Movement error and firing error are only visible in the game.

Share your own crosshair

You can also go the other way. In the same Crosshair tab Valorant lets you copy the code of your current profile. Paste it on the Submit page to give it its own page with a preview and a link you can send to friends.

Frequently asked questions

Where do I paste a Valorant crosshair code?

In Valorant open Settings, go to the Crosshair tab and press Import Profile Code. Paste the code into the box that opens and confirm.

Do I have to restart Valorant after importing a crosshair?

No. The imported crosshair is added as a profile and is used as soon as it is the selected one. You can check it in the preview at the top of the Crosshair tab or in the Range.

Can I keep more than one crosshair?

Yes. Every imported code becomes its own profile, so you can keep your own crosshair and try pro crosshairs next to it and switch between them in the Crosshair tab.

Why does Valorant say the code is not valid?

Almost always the code was copied incompletely or with extra characters. Copy the whole line again with the Copy code button, make sure nothing like quotation marks or spaces was added around it, and paste it without changing it.

Does the crosshair look exactly like the preview on this site?

Very close. The previews are drawn from the code with the same colors, sizes, gaps and outlines, but they do not show firing error or movement error, which only happen while you shoot or move.
