How to convert CS2 sensitivity to Valorant

Last updated:

Valorant and CS2 (and CS:GO before it) turn your view by a fixed angle for every step your mouse reports, and the two angles differ by a constant factor. That is why converting your sensitivity is one multiplication: your aim feels the same, and your muscle memory carries over. This page gives the formula, a table of common values and a way to check the result. For any other number use the sensitivity converter.

The formula

Valorant sensitivity = CS2 sensitivity × 0.31429
CS2 sensitivity = Valorant sensitivity × 3.1818

The numbers come from how far each game turns the view for one mouse count at sensitivity 1: 0.022 degrees in CS2 and 0.07 degrees in Valorant. Two settings feel the same when sensitivity × degrees is equal, so Valorant = CS2 × 0.022 ÷ 0.07. Keep your mouse DPI the same in both games; it cancels out.

Check it with cm/360

To see how far your mouse really travels, work out the distance for a full turn: 360 ÷ (degrees per count × sensitivity × DPI) gives inches, and multiplying by 2.54 gives centimeters. With 800 DPI and Valorant sensitivity 0.4, that is 40.821 cm for a full turn (16.071 inches). The converted CS2 value (1.2727) gives the same distance. The converter shows this distance when you enter your DPI.

Good to know

  • This converts the normal (hip) sensitivity. Scoped and zoomed sensitivities have their own multipliers in each game.
  • Use raw mouse input in both games, so the operating system does not change the speed.
  • Other games work the same way. The converter also covers Apex Legends, Overwatch, Fortnite, Rainbow Six Siege, Warzone and more.
  • Once your sensitivity is set, find a crosshair to go with it, or make your own.

Frequently asked questions

How do I convert CS2 sensitivity to Valorant?

Multiply your CS2 sensitivity by 0.31429 to get the Valorant value. For example CS2 sensitivity 1.0 becomes 0.31429 in Valorant. The same mouse DPI is used in both games.

How do I convert Valorant sensitivity to CS2?

Multiply your Valorant sensitivity by 3.1818. For example Valorant sensitivity 0.4 becomes 1.2727 in CS2.

Why is Valorant sensitivity so much lower than CS2?

Valorant turns the view 0.07 degrees per mouse count at sensitivity 1, while CS2 turns it 0.022. The same hand movement needs a Valorant number about 3.1818 times smaller.

What is eDPI?

eDPI is your mouse DPI multiplied by your in-game sensitivity. It lets you compare settings between players who use different DPI, as long as they play the same game.

What is cm/360?

It is how far you move the mouse, in centimeters, to turn the view a full 360 degrees. It is the same in two games when the settings are converted correctly, so it is a good way to check a conversion.
